Youth PreK - 5th Grade

Farmington Youth Wrestling Season is divided into 2 Sessions.

Session 1 competition will include an in-house meet experience, our annual duals with Rosemount and Owatonna, open tournaments, MN/USA Qualifiers, and wrapping up with the in-house All-Trophy Farmington Finals.

Session 2 competition will continue with open tournaments and MN/USA State qualifiers. Our goal is to get as many wrestlers qualified and participate at the MN/USA State Tournament.

November 3, 2025 - December 19, 2025

Session 2

January 5, 2026 - MN/USA State Tournament (March 15, 2026)

Where

Tiny Tigers (PreK - 1st grade):

Farmington High School Wrestling Room

Girls Only (PreK - 5th grade):

Dodge Middle School Wrestling Room

Youth Tigers (2nd - 5th Grade):

This age group will be split up and will wrestle at either the Dodge Middle School Wrestling Room or the Farmington High School Wrestling Room - This will be decided closer to the season start.

Practices

Monday and Thursday 

Tiny Tigers (PreK - 1st grade):

6:00pm - 7:00pm 

Girls Only (PreK - 5th grade):

6:00pm – 7:00pm

Youth Tigers (2nd - 5th grade):

7:00pm - 8:30pm 

Occasionally due to scheduling conflicts at the schools, practice could be moved and we will communicate this out. 

No practice on No School Days or when Varsity has a home match.  

Tiger Tuesdays

Wrestlers in grades 2nd – 5th will have the opportunity to attend an additional night of practice throughout the season. This optional practice will focus on drilling, live wrestling, and increasing cardiovascular fitness.

Tuesday: 6:30pm – 7:30pm at Farmington High School Wrestling Room 

Equipment

Shoe and Singlet Rental is available on a first come - first served basis. A $50 check is required for each item. We will return your check when equipment is turned in at the end of the season.

Equipment Pick-up Dates will be communicated out towards the beginning of the season.

Fundraising

Each family will be required to purchase 10 $10 ($100 total) tickets to the Annual Parent's Night Out Event. Each family is encouraged to sell these tickets and are able to obtain additional tickets if needed.

This event was a great success to the Farmington Wrestling Program last year and we are excited to bring it back again this year.

Additional information about this event will be communicated out as the season begins.
