Farmington Wrestling is excited to announce that in an effort to grow our Girls Wrestling Program and give girls an opportunity to try wrestling, ALL YOUTH AND MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS will be receiving Session One of this upcoming season FREE! YOUTH SEASON INFORMATION 

Farmington Youth Wrestling Season is divided into 2 sessions.  Please see details and dates for each below.  You can register for one session at a time or both right away.  Please let us know if you have any questions. 

 SESSION ONE: NOVEMBER 6 - DECEMBER 21 

Session one focuses on developing the foundation for the sport of wrestling. A foundation can get stronger so this session is still for all skill levels. Wrestlers are able to continue to compete at open tournaments and MN/USA Qualifiers, however the first session will be focusing on 2 in-house tournaments, the Bring One Bring All with surrounding communities, and the Farmington Finals All Trophy Tournament. 

Parent Informational Meeting at Farmington High School October 26 at 6:30 in the Wrestling Room.  

First practice will be held on Monday Nov. 6th, due to elections.

Youth Pictures will be held Nov. 16th during practice.

Prerequisite: Come ready to have fun, and bring an attitude to learn about wrestling or improve the skills you already have. 
Cost: $150.00 
Location: High School Wrestling Room 
 
Practice: Tuesday and Thursday 
Tiny Tigers (PreK - 1st grade): 6:00pm - 6:50pm 
Youth Tigers (2nd - 5th grade): 7:00pm - 8:00pm 
Occasionally due to scheduling conflicts at the High School, practice could be moved. 
No practice on No School Days or when Varsity has a home match.  
 
Equipment: Shoe and Singlet Rental available ($50 check held for each item, returned when equipment is turned in at the end of the season) 
 
Included with Registration:
 
Club T-Shirt 
2 Practices/week 
2 In-House Tournaments 
Bring One Bring All (Tentative) 
Entry into Farmington Finals All Trophy Tournament 

Also included but not mandatory: One FREE practice with Kingdom Wrestling on Wednesdays starting November 22nd.

Friday, November 17th - Tiger Duals (Individual)   
Friday, December 8th - Tiger Duals (Team) 

Sunday, December 10th  Bring One Bring All
Thursday, December 14th – Youth Night at Varsity Meet 
Wednesday, December 20th - Farmington Finals All Trophy Tournament 
 
Registration Deadline: November 6th, 2023 

SESSION TWO: JANUARY 4 - MNUSA STATE (MID-MARCH) 

Session two focuses on building/developing on skills learned during session one AND taking those skills outside of Farmington! Competition will move to MN/USA State qualifiers and tournaments against other schools outside of Farmington. 
 
Cost: $150.00 
Location: High School Wrestling Room 
 
Practice: Tuesday and Thursday 
Tiny Tigers (PreK - 1st grade): 6:00pm - 6:45pm 
Youth Tigers (2nd - 5th grade): 7:00pm - 8:00pm 
Occasionally due to scheduling conflicts at the High School practice could be moved 
No practice on No School Days or when Varsity has a home match.

Team Participation Information: 
In our youth program, we focus on building team cohesion in the practice room, at individual opens and MN/USA tournaments. We also do participate in a couple tournaments with a Team Dual format. These are fun competitive tournaments that introduce the dual format and can create a spark for wanting more. These tournaments are The Brawl and the MN/USA State Team Tournament. 

Sunday, January 21st - The Brawl @ St Michael, MN 
TBD (mid-March) - MNUSA State Tournament @ Rochester

The coaches develop the teams from observation at practice and individual tournaments through Session 1 and Session 2. No formal wrestle-offs.

To be eligible and considered for a team spot, the following is required:

Participation in Session 1, attend 60% of youth practices and events (Tiger Duals and Farmington Finals), register under Farmington Wrestling at open tournaments and MN/USA tournaments, reflect TIGER TOUGH (Teamwork, Integrity, Grit, Effort, Respect) and our "4 Things" (Be nice, Be safe, Make Good Choices and Have fun).
